About Dr. Mobini

Dr Sirous Mobini is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist (SRCN) and Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience across inpatient, outpatient, and community-based neuropsychology and mental health services. He has extensive expertise in the neuropsychological assessment, rehabilitation, and management of adults with various form of brain injury conditions presenting with complex neurobehavioural, neurocognitive, and psychological problems. 

Dr Mobini specialises in neurobehavioural rehabilitation, the management of challenging behaviour, and the assessment and management of neurocognitive impairments associated with acquired brain injury and neurodegenerative disorders. He has worked across a wide range of NHS and independent neurorehabilitation services. He has substantial experience collaborating brain injury case managers and solicitors.

Dr Mobini is a a member of National Register of University Certificated Expert Witnesses (https://register.bondsolon.com/search-results.aspx?keyword=Mobini) with extensive experiences in preparing medico-legal neuropsychological and psychological reports for individuals with acquired brain injury, psychological trauma, and a range of mental health conditions. He has acted on behalf of both claimants and defendants, providing independent expert opinion in complex medico-legal cases. Azerbaijan 

He also undertakes Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) as an Expert Witness for the Court of Protection, with particular expertise in assessing how cognitive impairments and co-morbid mental health problems affect an individual’s capacity to make decisions regarding financial affairs and other aspects of daily life following acquired brain injury.

In addition to his expertise in clinical neuropsychology, Dr Mobini is an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and EMDR therapist. He is a Chartered Psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and an accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

His clinical expertise also includes psychological assessment and therapy for mental health disorders, psychological injuries arising from road traffic accidents and trauma, comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation, and mental capacity assessments.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Mobini has held academic and research appointments at the University of East Anglia, the University of Newcastle (Australia), and University College London (UCL). He has also been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and the University of Sussex. He currently serves as a Teaching Associate on the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology (Online) at the Salomons Institute, Canterbury Christ Church University. He is also an Honorary Senior Research Associate at UCL, a Senior Clinical and Conjoint Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle (Australia), and a Board Member of Headway Suffolk & Norfolk.
